FISHING THE MISSISSIPPI

Preseason: Spring Training

POLES LOST: 0 EST. # OF FISH KEPT: 0

There's fishing and then there's fishing the Mississippi River. Second only to Salt-water fishing, fishing the Mississippi has got to be the most fun, relaxing, and challenging of all fishing locations. Sure the Missouri River has a faster current and lakes have the coves, but noplace in North America has the history and nostalgia of the muddy river.

Here you will find an abundance of information that can only come from years of expirience. This group of 4-5 people whom I fish with and have collaborated with for this site have easily totaled over 50 years of fishing the glorious banks of the river. That's right the banks. We don't go out on boats like alot of people do. Sure, anyone can catch fish when you can cruise on up to a secluded spot that you can't get to by land, but it takes real skill, patience, and determination to fish the banks. Some days are worse than others but all are as fun and exciting as the first.

So sit back and enjoy the glories of fishing the muddy Mississippi!!
